Homemade Bolognese sauce

We love pasta at home. Normally we would eat it with some pesto/ chorizo/ vegetables, and always with some parmesan/ pecorino cheese.

However, I had to use some pork few days ago and I was wondering what would I cook with it… so I decided to prepare Bolognese sauce! Suddenly, I really felt like having some! So, for this recipe, I used:

2 and a half shoulders steaks of pork – using the mincer at home, but you can always buy the meat already minced –, olive oil, 2 onions, salt, pepper, dried oregano, one can of chopped tomatoes and 150ml of red wine (the wine gives it an amazing flavour that we just loved!).

Time to cook:

First, chop the onions and put them in a pan with some olive oil (al ready heated). To continue, and once the onion is almost cooked, add the meat, stir well and add a pinch of salt and black pepper. Stir well again and leave it to cook until you see that the meat is almost ready. Continue by adding the chopped tomatoes and the dried oregano. Low the heat and leave it to cook for 20-30 minutes, stirring well from time to time, and then add the wine until the alcohol has evaporated.
It couldn’t be easier, and it’s really delicious! Also, you can freeze it and use it another time. If you heat in on a pan, it’s still very good!
